This Custodian position is a team member of the Wisconsin Union -Facilities Custodian project team. Duties include routine maintenance and cleaning, trash removal, snow removal, carpet cleaning, floor refinishing, pressure washing, event set up/tear down. Work is performed under the guidance of a Custodial Services Supervisor.
Position will be based out of Union South but will work in all Union locations to include, but not limited to: Union South, Memorial Union, Pyle Center, Student Activity Center, U Club and the Fluno building.
Schedule:
$17.00 per hour
$2.50 per hour differential, for hours worked between 6pm - 6am
$ .80 per hour differential, for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday

- Hours may be flexed as needed for projects or to assist other shifts.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed
- Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
- Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
- Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
- Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities

- Ability to shovel snow and ice outside in winter conditions.
- Ability to conduct trash-recycling-compost gathering and disposal daily, based on needs.
- Ability to Lift 50lbs.
- Ability to carry 50lbs.
- Ability to push 100lbs.
- Ability to pull 100lbs.
