- Measure openings accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to determine screen sizes and specifications
- Install screens on windows, doors, patios, and other designated areas using hand tools and power tools
- Ensure all screens are securely fitted, aligned properly, and meet quality standards
- Remove old or damaged screens carefully without damaging surrounding structures
- Assist with minor framing or carpentry tasks related to screen installation when needed
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional installation services
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, and caulking guns
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, and staple guns for efficient installation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings related to construction projects
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Familiarity with construction materials such as aluminum framing, mesh fabrics, and weatherproofing components
- Basic understanding of construction management principles and estimating processes is a plus
- Experience with related trades such as carpentry, window or door installation, or general remodeling is beneficial
- Ability to operate heavy equipment or perform concrete finishing tasks is advantageous but not required
