Wisconsin Precision Casting Corporation is looking for Plant Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Lake Geneva, WI!
We are currently hiring for both 1st and 2nd shift.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in manufacturing. No prior manufacturing or foundry experience is required! WPCC provides hands-on training for all required job functions.
As a Plant Technician, you will be cross-trained in multiple areas of our manufacturing operation. You will have a home department and supervisor, but may work in different areas of the plant based on production needs. This position plays an important role in keeping our manufacturing process running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
Depending on your training and production needs, your responsibilities may include:
- Wax injection and assembly
- Robotic shell dipping and autoclaving
- General foundry and manufacturing work
- Shell removal (knockout)
- Casting removal, including cut-off and cold-break operations
- Casting grinding using hand and CNC grinders
- Sand and shot blasting using hand or automated equipment
- Casting inspection
- Deburring and straightening castings
- Welding and other related manufacturing operations
- Following work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Entering production information into a computer-based data collection system
- Working with team members to maintain continuous production flow
Training Provided
No previous manufacturing experience is required. WPCC will provide training before you perform any new operation. As a Plant Technician, you will have the opportunity to learn multiple areas of our manufacturing process and develop a variety of valuable manufacturing skills.
What We're Looking For
- No prior manufacturing or foundry experience required
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Basic computer skills and ability to enter data into a computer-based system
- Willingness to learn and work in multiple areas of the plant
- Ability to follow work instructions and quality requirements
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor height to chest height when required
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Shift Availability
1st Shift: Monday–Friday
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.75 per hour
