Resident Services Specialist (Part‑Time)
Location: THV
Schedule: Part‑time (hours may include occasional evenings/weekends)
Compensation: Hourly wage mileage and phone reimbursement
Reports to: Site Director
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
About the Role
We are seeking a Resident Services Specialist to serve as the on‑site point of contact for residents and as a key administrative and operational partner to the Site Director. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with residents, supporting a positive community environment, and keeping site operations running smoothly.
The Resident Services Specialist plays a critical role in fostering a safe, respectful, and welcoming housing community while providing strong administrative and organizational support to site leadership.
What You’ll Do
Resident & Community Support
- Build strong, trusting relationships with residents
- Serve as the first point of contact for housing needs, agreements, and community concerns
- Support residents in collaboration with case managers and service providers
- Provide fair, trauma‑informed conflict resolution and mediation
- Help cultivate a positive, inclusive, community‑focused environment
Property Operations
- Ensure the property is safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming
- Conduct unit and common area inspections
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and preventative services
- Track occupancy, inspections, and vendor activity
- Conduct move‑in and move‑out inspections
- Coordinate use of common areas and community spaces
- Serve as liaison with vendors to ensure quality and timeliness
Administrative Support (Site Director)
- Manage calendars, scheduling, and task tracking
- Assist with reports, presentations, and communications
- Coordinate internal and external communications
- Maintain organized records and documentation
- Support staff meetings, agendas, and notes
- Track deadlines, deliverables, and compliance requirements
Administrative & Compliance Duties
- Review participant fee reports and coordinate follow‑up as needed
- Prepare reports for leadership, funders, and regulators
- Process invoices and assist with financial tracking
- Make bank deposits and deliver/pickup documents from the courthouse or other Oshkosh locations.
- Ensure compliance with program and organizational standards
What We’re Looking For
- Associate’s degree in social services, community development, business administration, property management, or related field OR equivalent experience
- Lived experience with homelessness, the foster care system, or marginalized populations is valued and encouraged
- Experience in supportive housing, affordable housing, property management, or community‑based services
- Administrative or executive‑level support experience preferred
- Experience working with families impacted by homelessness, trauma, or poverty preferred
- Strong organization, time‑management, and multitasking skills
- Clear, compassionate communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with staff and partners
- Comfort using email, calendars, and cloud‑based tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
Working Conditions
- Regular on‑site presence required
- Occasional evenings or weekends may be required
- Ability to walk the property and lift up to 25 lbs
