The Division of Adult Institutions is currently recruiting to fill several Office Associate - Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions located at Dodge Correctional Institution (DCI) in Waupun, WI.
Please Note:
· Candidates must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin in order to be considered.
· LTE positions are limited to working a total of 1039 hours over a period of 12 months. This averages to be 20 hours/week.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Health Information Supervisor, and with close oversight of lead Central Medical Records (CMR) personnel, this position will provide administrative program support to Central Medical Records Department at Dodge Correctional Institution. Duties to include: scanning of paper medical records and documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) and/or EMR validation, shelving, retrieving and filing paper Health Care Records (HCRs), identifying and reviewing the medical records of Persons in our care (PIOCs) actively and/or formerly under the care of DOC for retention or destruction based on the record retention rules, and any further duties as assigned. The LTE shall comply with the Department’s administrative rules, agency’s policies and procedures, and federal and Wisconsin laws governing health records.
SALARY
$19.49 per hour / The pay schedule/range is 02-09.
JOB DETAILS
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.
QUALIFICATIONS
SCREENING CRITERIA – In order to be considered for an interview, applicants must meet the below criteria:
· Education, training and/or experience with modern office equipment and usage.
· Education, training and/or experience with computer operations, digital recording systems and software implementations.
· Education, training and/or experience establishing and maintaining complex records, filing and workflow systems.
