Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), based in Madison, Wisconsin, is a growing national nonprofit trade association with dairy processor member companies and cooperatives based in 34 states, as well as supplier members in 44 states and 24 nations around the world. Role Description
This is a new, full-time, hybrid position for Communications Manager, a role created to accelerate member education, engagement and participation in our growing national trade association. The Communications Manager will join the Communications Director to amplify social media content development, website content, email-delivered digital content and video and news for third-party media outlets. Additionally, member services, including an online and print directory, training and certification programs, and international signature events such as CheeseExpo and the World Championship Cheese Contest, will benefit from a communications professional with marketing savvy, great writing and video production skills, and fresh ideas.

Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills for press releases, newsletters, and content creation
- Proficiency in media relations and social media management, including crafting compelling posts and managing multiple platforms
- Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies to achieve organizational goals
- Skills in research and content development to support promotional campaigns and industry-related initiatives
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with digital tools, analytics, and content management systems is highly valued
- Preference for a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience in the food, agriculture, or dairy industry would be a plus.
