What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic/Shop Worker position at Wisconsin Aviation?
Are you a mechanic looking for a new opportunity? What about an experience in the aviation environment? Wisconsin Aviation is a full-service Fixed Base Operator (FBO) in Wisconsin, and yet is still a growing aviation services company that provides opportunities and benefits, including substantial discounts for flight training. We have an opening in our Madison, WI facility.
This position works on ground service equipment (GSE), vehicles and building maintenance, a candidate must have working-knowledge in repairs. The environment is fast-paced and often outdoors. The best candidate will enjoy helping others and working on mechanical systems in the shop and in the field.
We are looking for a self-starter that is able to work both as part of a team environment or alone. You must be able to take direction and be an extra hand when needed. You should be able to multi-task, solve problems and possess attention to detail. Your mechanical knowledge should include (but not limited to): battery swaps, oil changes, light engine work, transmission work, diesel repair, electrical repair, etc. Your own tools are required.
