As the Service Team Lead, you will play a key role in supporting multiple aspects of club operations. Depending on your location, responsibilities may include oversight of the Kids' Clubhouse, Club Pub, events and member engagement planning, cleaning standards, and in club purchasing. You'll lead frontline team members with a focus on exceptional customer service, effective training, daily operations, and ongoing team development.
In this role, you'll help your team build meaningful relationships with members and guests through proactive, aggressive hospitality, ensuring every interaction feels warm and personalized. You will guide your team in creating a clean, engaging, and welcoming environment for members and the children in our care, an essential part of the Wisconsin Athletic Club experience and our local community.
You will also oversee the Club Pub's customer service, recruiting, training, operational execution, financial performance, event support, and team development. This is not a behind the scenes leadership role; it is a hands on, frontline position where you will actively connect with your team, members, and guests. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to coach, support, and grow your team every day.
Key Responsibilities

Display a member first attitude by training and holding team members accountable, not only for being raving fans, but also for creating raving fans - we are all responsible for attracting and retaining members.

Provide ongoing coaching to team members to take action and to achieve operational goals.
Constantly recruit and train team members, encouraging them to develop personally and professionally.
Plan, identify, communicate and delegate appropriate responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth club operations - this starts with the daily walk through and any necessary follow up.
Team Building - Improve ourselves, the club and our community.
Build and mentor winning teams.
Pick the best people - aid in club recruiting efforts to exceed member expectations and improve retention.
Paint a picture and show them a path - inspire the best to exceed their potential at WAC.
Provide great training - actively learn, share and apply with your team.
Coach - give team members regular feedback and ask great questions.
Catch people doing things right.
Planning and Execution - Produce results for our members and club.
Develop and manage monthly schedules to ensure club is properly staffed during peak and non peak times.
Communicate clearly, concisely and accurately by utilizing every major form of communication. Be available.
Responsible for everything in the front desk, laundry contribute to the MOD program.
