We are looking for experienced Electronics Repair and Assembly Technician for our Repair/Production department. Position responsibilities include:
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of cameras to include disassembly and reassembly according to established quality standards. Tests all repaired products ensuring the exact specification and quality is met as well as completing the task within the production schedule.
- Analyze test failures, troubleshoot, identify root cause of failures, and verify corrective actions.
- Completes all repair related documentation.
- Contribute to the development of processes and procedures for the department.
- Performs assembly of electronic and/or electro-mechanical products and sub-assemblies of Company products in accordance with established workmanship standards and assembly drawings and documentation.
- Performs wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable prep for units.
- Responsible for quality control of the assembled parts.
- Collaborates with peers and/or supervisors to resolve problems depending on the level and complexity.
- Programs surveillance cameras (analog and IP).
- Maintains good housekeeping and safety principles in the completion of all work assignments.
Education/Experience/Training:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 to 4 years of prior electronics troubleshooting and repair experience with preference to CCTV security camera equipment. Current or past certification for IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 soldering is preferred.
- Technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to interpret wiring schematics, diagrams and assembly drawing & follow detailed work instructions. Experience in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions, work orders, standard operation procedures, and all other documentation used in the assembly and testing of products.
- Understands and applies established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of electronic repair and assembly.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity required; ability to distinguish colors for repair and assembly of product required.
- High attention to detail, effective time management and organizational skills required. Demonstrated ability to be highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English as it relates to the job requirements.
- Physical ability to see, stand, bend, reach, walk, push, pull, carry and lift up to 35 lbs.
Full-time position Monday through Friday from 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Occasional overtime required during the week.
