Milling Machine Operator

As a Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for performing the duties to setup the milling machine for operation, and operate the machine while maintaining a smooth, consistent, and correctly aligned operation.
What you will do:
- Check all fluid levels at the beginning of engine startup each day. Monitor and maintain gauges, fluid levels, operation and function throughout the day.
- Maintain awareness of unusual noises or operations and bring any exceptions to the attention of the Foreman.
- Ability to perform light mechanical adjustments and to assist mechanics performing repairs on assigned equipment. Assist with the lubrication and fueling of the milling machine.
- Responsible for the control and operation of the milling machine.
- Operates the milling machine to properly mill asphalt to desired specifications based on usage.
- Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of the milling machine that mills asphalt on roadways and related surfaces such as parking lots, streets, etc.
- May perform other related duties, such as preventative maintenance on all milling machinery.
- The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the Foreman.
- Follow safety rules and keep equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you will need: (Minimum requirements)
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience with the operation of a milling machine.
- Valid driver license.
