Accounts Payable Clerk

Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for the Corporate Office in Dothan. This position is responsible for performing Accounts Payable and Clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

What you will do:

• Reconcile incoming invoices
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Maintain vendor files
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Support other departments with accounts payable related questions
• Support month-end and year-end closing
• Maintain positive relationships with Vendors
• Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Company policies.
• Enter invoice details into accounting software.
• Prepare and process payments
• Ensure timely payment of invoices
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned

What you will need: (Minimum qualifications)

• Knowledge of accounts payable
• Proficient in data entry
• 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
