What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Driver position at Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center?
Applications are being accepted for the part time position as a Purchased Transportation Driver with WRC. The Purchased Transportation Driver provides safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for WRC employees and consumers using passenger vans, buses, and wheelchair-accessible vehicles. The driver is responsible for safely operating assigned vehicles and accessibility equipment, assisting passengers as appropriate, properly securing wheelchairs and other mobility devices, and ensuring passengers are transported safely to and from authorized destinations. The driver is expected to provide respectful and professional assistance to individuals with disabilities while promoting passenger safety, dignity, and independence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid AL driver’s license.
Must be insurable through WRC’s designated insurance company.
High School Diploma/GED
Six months experience in related field
Must meet WRC’s employment physical standards, which include drug/alcohol testing and may require a background check.
