This position is vital for supporting environmental, safety, and health compliance initiatives across the region.
What the Safety Specialist will do:
- Field Compliance Inspections: Assist in conducting field compliance inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Hazard Assessments: Perform workplace hazard assessments.
- Compliance Training: Assist with the facilitation and management of compliance training programs.
- Travel: Travel throughout the region to conduct inspections and investigate incidents.
- Job Task Training: Verify and assist with the completion of all required job task training at the crew level.
- Training Documentation: Provide records of completed training for data entry into the Learning Management System.
What the Safety Specialist will need: (minimum qualifications)
- Education:
- High School Diploma (required)
- Certifications:
- Completion of OSHA 30
- Completion of OSHA 500 or 501
- Experience:
- 2-3 years of safety experience in construction or general industry (required)
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel
- Availability to work days, nights, and weekends
