Residential Journeyman Electrician – Crew Lead
$24–$32/hr based on experience and leadership ability | Take-home company vehicle | Mon–Fri, 8:00–4:30 | 401(k) with 4% match | 9 paid holidays
Wired Up Electrical is hiring a licensed Journeyman Electrician ready to step up as a Crew Lead on our residential service team. This is a role for someone who's confident running jobs start to finish, diagnosing the problem, doing clean code-compliant work, keeping the customer informed, and bringing an apprentice or helper along with you.

What You’ll Do
- Run residential service calls start to finish: diagnose, quote, repair, and close out
- Lead a small crew on larger jobs, assign work, check quality, and keep the job on schedule
- Mentor apprentices and helpers, building their skills on every call
- Install and maintain wiring, fixtures, panels, and equipment to NEC standards
- Be the face of Wired Up in the customer's home, clear communication, honest recommendations, respect for their space
- Coordinate with our office and other trades to keep projects moving smoothly
- Conduct inspections and ensure safety compliance on every job
What You’ll Bring
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (Virginia license or eligible for reciprocity)
- 3 years of residential service experience preferred
- Experience leading a helper, apprentice, or crew, or clear readiness to do so
- Strong troubleshooting skills and confident NEC knowledge
- Clean driving record
- The professionalism to work independently and the patience to teach
Pay & Benefits
- $24–$32 per hour, based on experience and leadership ability
- Take-home company vehicle for crew leads (within ~30 minutes of our service area, with a safe driving history)

- Paid vacation: 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 5 years

Schedule & Service Area
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekends: Occasional weekend work as needed
- Service area: Local, jobs are typically within about 30 minutes of Forest, VA, so you're home for dinner, not driving across the state
- Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week
