Music Production Teacher (Ableton Live)

Wired Sound Academy is opening its new Orlando location in 2026, and we’re looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and inspiring Music Production Instructor who specializes in Ableton Live.

About Wired Sound Academy

Wired Sound Academy (WSA) is a hands-on DJ & music production school founded by working artists and producers. Our mission is to help students go from complete beginner to confident creator — learning real studio workflows, modern production techniques, and artist development skills.

We’re expanding from South Florida to Orlando, and this instructor will be an essential part of launching and growing the program.

What You’ll Teach

You’ll lead students through our structured curriculum covering:

Music Production Fundamentals

• Ableton Live workflow, navigation, and session management
• Audio/MIDI basics
• Drum programming & groove
• Arrangement techniques
• Automation & modulation

Sound Design

• Synth basics
• Using Serum, Operator, Wavetable, or similar tools
• Creating basses, leads, pads, and FX

Production Techniques

• Track building from scratch
• Layering
• Sampling
• Vocal processing basics
• Creative resampling

Mixing & Mastering (Beginner to Intermediate)

• EQ, compression, saturation
• Gain staging
• Bus processing
• Reference tracks
• Exporting final mixes

Artist Development (Optional but a bonus)

• Workflow tips
• Social content ideas
• Preparing music for release
• Basic branding for emerging artists

Role Responsibilities

• Teach 4–8 week group classes (6 students max)
• Lead hands-on lessons in Ableton Live
• Provide feedback on student projects
• Maintain positive, supportive class energy
• Help students understand real-world workflows
• Communicate with staff about scheduling, student progress, and curriculum
• Attend occasional events, showcases, or open houses
• Represent WSA’s positive and encouraging culture

Who We’re Looking For

You should have:

✔ Strong working knowledge of Ableton Live
✔ Experience producing your own music (released or unreleased is fine)
✔ Ability to break down concepts and explain them clearly
✔ Patience and passion for teaching beginners
✔ Professional, friendly communication skills
✔ Dependability — showing up on time, prepared, consistent
✔ A positive attitude and creative spirit

Bonus (not required):

• Experience with FL Studio, Logic Pro, or other DAWs
• Experience DJing
• Any teaching or mentoring experience
• Understanding of electronic music, house, bass, trap, hip-hop, EDM, etc.
