Consulting Partner - Life Sciences

Wipro Consulting is rapidly expanding its Life Sciences & Medical Devices consulting practice at a pivotal moment—where AI-driven drug discovery, personalized medicine, and global supply chain disruptions are converging. Reporting to the Americas Managing Partner for Life Sciences, you will manage C-suite relationships across global biopharma, biotech scale-ups, and MedTech leaders, originating boardroom advisory engagements that convert into large-scale technology and BPO programs.

Your scope covers the entire product lifecycle: reimagining R&D, digitizing clinical trials, modernizing quality and regulatory processes, and scaling smart manufacturing. The goal is to accelerate time-to-market and improve patient outcomes. Supported by ~230,000 technologists and proprietary AI accelerators, you will launch signature IP—such as benchmarks, data assets, and platform ventures—to amplify Wipro’s industry voice. 

Action: Key Responsibilities

• Originate Growth: Identify new opportunities, craft C-suite narratives, and close $10M in advisory bookings annually, anchoring $100M in tech/BPO follow-ons.
• Advise C-Suites: Serve as a trusted advisor on AI-augmented R&D, digital trials, smart factories, and product-as-a-service commercialization, turning vision into actionable roadmaps.
• Steer Transformations: Oversee multi-tower programs (PLM modernization, eTMF digitization, connected-device rollouts, GenAI regulatory automation), ensuring benefit realization and CSAT > 4.8/5.
• Create IP & Ventures: Develop benchmarks, twin platforms, and data products; spin out solution ventures with independent growth targets.
• Amplify Leadership: Publish 3–4 flagship POVs annually, keynote major forums, and secure analyst citations to elevate Wipro’s brand.
• Develop Talent: Recruit, mentor, and sponsor a diverse cadre of junior partners and senior managers, fostering a psychologically safe, high-performance culture.
• Forge Alliances: Build strategic partnerships with CROs, CDMOs, cloud/hyperscaler labs, and regulators to co-create market offerings.
• Own the P&L: Manage full consulting P&L for assigned accounts, drive forecast accuracy, safeguard margins, and reinvest in growth accelerators.
• Govern Practice: Shape investment roadmaps, prioritize solution backlogs, and promote agile ways of working across a global delivery footprint.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strategy Pedigree: 15 years in top-tier strategy or Big-4 advisory, including 7 years in life sciences/MedTech leadership.
• Client Obsession: Builds trust-based CXO networks across pharma R&D, clinical, quality, and MedTech business units; anticipates needs and delivers business impact.
• Commercial Track Record: Personally sold and led $100M in advisory revenue; skilled executive negotiator.
• Domain Mastery: End-to-end expertise in drug/device lifecycle and global regulatory landscapes (FDA, EMA, PMDA).
• Transformation Gravitas: Led multi-tower programs impacting 50 assets or 100 manufacturing lines and $1B spend.
• Market Authority: Published author, keynote speaker, or quoted expert; creator of data assets and solution blueprints.
• Inclusive Leadership: Proven sponsor of DEI initiatives; builds high-performing, psychologically safe teams.
• Entrepreneurial Drive: Operates with founder’s urgency; thrives amid ambiguity and rapid iteration.
• Tech Fluency: Conversant in cloud, GenAI, digital twins, cybersecurity, and GxP digital-thread fundamentals.
• Academic Rigor: PhD, MBA, MD, or bioinformatics/biomedical engineering credentials from a top institution. 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $190,000.00  to $265,000.00.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
