Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based out of Chicago, IL, for a DevOps Architect. The role involves designing and implementing scalable DevOps solutions for enterprise systems. Responsibilities include developing infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions, collaborating with software development teams for continuous integration and delivery, and crafting solution architectures to optimize performance. You will play a key role in automating workflows and ensuring efficiency across the software development lifecycle.
Primary Skills
- 10 years experience with Azure Infrastructure
- 8 years of experience in DevOps
- 8 years of scripting experience in Azure CLI and Powershell
- 6 years of experience with Terraform, Chef, and Packer
- 6 years of experience in scripting skills (Shell, Python or Groovy)
- 3 years of experience in Temporal orchestration
- 8 years experience in Kubernetes, Containerization
- 5 years experience in CI/CD principles, build automation, and deployment strategies
Qualifications
- Azure Knowledge: Strong understanding of core Azure services. Demonstrates experience in implementation of complex, scalable, and secure Azure cloud architectures, designing high availability and fault-tolerant solutions with good focus on client platform
- Terraform: Well-versed in Terraform for infrastructure as code. Demonstrated hands-on experience in writing and managing reusable modules.
- Automation Strategy: Develop and lead the implementation of automation strategies to streamline infrastructure management.
- Advanced Scripting: Create and maintain advanced scripts for automation, orchestration, and configuration management.
- CI/CD: Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and SecOps practices. Has experience integrating security tools into DevOps workflows.
- Cloud Architecture: Able to design scalable, resilient, and secure solutions on Azure. Strong focus on architectural best practices.
- Security & Compliance: Understands cloud security fundamentals and has experience implementing secure configurations and controls.
- Networking: Solid understanding of Azure networking concepts, including VNETs, subnets, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity.
- Kubernetes / AKS: Comfortable with Kubernetes concepts and administration. Capable of maintaining and troubleshooting production-grade infrastructure
- Familiarity with Artifactory for artifact management
