Retail Banking Intern Job Responsibilities: Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in lobby or drive up. Recognize potential cross sell opportunities. Comply with all department and regulatory policy & procedures. Processes mail, night depository, and ATM deposits. Open/close branch. Participate in community events. Shadow Relationship Bankers, Branch Managers, and Commercial Bankers within the branch. Details: The 2026 program will run Tuesday, May 19th – Friday, August 7th. 40 hours/week, Paid summer internship. Must be available to work (some) Saturdays. Positions available in Itasca, Barrington, Bloomingdale, Addison, and Wood Dale Participate in intern program activities, events, and development opportunities with your cohort. Compensation: The hourly rate for this role is $19.00/hour. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a US college or university, with preference for students entering their junior or senior year. Concentrations in Finance, Business, Management, or related field. Cash handling and customer service experience preferred. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Leadership, extra-curricular, or volunteering experience skills with a passion for results. You must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S. now and in the future to participate in Wintrust’s Commercial Banking Internship Program.
