Credit Analyst - Insurance Banking

Wintrust is a $66 billion financial institution based in Rosemont, Illinois, and listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol “WTFC.” Key Responsibilities Manage and monitor a portfolio of commercial credit relationships within the insurance brokerage industry Analyze and underwrite business and personal financial data to support credit decisions Prepare credit requests, including new originations, renewals, modifications, and waivers Ensure compliance with Wintrust Credit Policy, risk ratings, and financial reporting requirements Track and test financial covenants and reporting obligations for assigned clients Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers on loan closings and client interactions Serve as a secondary point of contact for clients, maintaining a high level of responsiveness Coordinate with internal credit, legal, and operations teams to facilitate timely and accurate execution of credit actions Participate in credit-related training, including Wintrust Credit Academy courses Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 0–3 years of experience in commercial credit, financial analysis, or accounting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail Familiarity with business and personal financial statements and tax returns Effective written and verbal communication skills Benefits: Medical Insurance • Dental • Vision • Life insurance • Accidental death and dismemberment • Short-term and long-term Disability Insurance • Parental Leave • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Traditional and Roth 401(k) with company match • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) • Employee Stock Purchase Plan at 5% discount • Critical Illness Insurance • Accident Insurance • Transportation and Commuting Benefits • Banking Benefits • Pet Insurance Compensation: The estimated annual salary range for this role is $59,000 - $77,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
