What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reading Specialist Tutor position at Winthrop School?
Winthrop School is seeking a qualified Reading Specialist or Special Education Tutor to provide 1:1 reading and writing instruction to a student outside of the classroom for 45 minutes daily (10:30–11:15 a.m.).
Preferred candidates will have Orton-Gillingham or Wilson training and experience delivering structured literacy interventions. The position will focus on implementing a program such as Visualizing and Verbalizing, individualized to meet the student’s current skill level.
