Position Title: Occupational Therapist
Position Summary:
A candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team and have strong oral and written communication skills.
Candidates should also have experience in the following areas:
- evaluating students using a variety of assessments
- writing reports
- writing goals, IEPs, and 504s
- providing services in both inclusion and pull-out settings
- working with students with a variety of disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Identification of children who require Occupational Therapy in the Winthrop Public Schools.
- Screening, assessment and development of assessment reports and Individualized Educational Plans for children qualifying for Occupational Therapy services.
- Provide direct and consultation Occupational Therapy services to students who have Individual Education Plans and 504s.
- Timely completion of all paperwork, including but not limited to documentation required for IEPs, team meetings, progress reports, billing/logging, and departmental paperwork.
- Deliver Occupational Therapy services throughout the Winthrop Public Schools.
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Experience working with children with special education needs is preferred.
- Experience in assessment and development of high quality Individualized Educational Plans preferred.
- Demonstrate good organizational skills and ability to meet timelines.
- Appropriate licensure required.
- At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Master degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
Salary : $54,745 - $100,871
