Job Summary
$6,000 signing & retention bonus paid over 3 years. Openings at both Elementary sites. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance District contribution covers single person mid-range medical plus dental. Position is CalSTRS eligible. Provides direct instruction and coordinates related services to individuals with exceptional needs within each school. Provide consultation, information, and materials regarding individuals with exceptional needs to parents and to staff members. Coordinate special education and related services provided to each individual with exceptional needs on the teacher’s caseload. Coordinate other programs and services as needed. Assess and observe pupil progress on a regular basis. Develop, monitor and revise all Individualized Education Program (IEP) documents on teachers caseload, as appropriate . Evaluate student growth in academic achievement, social/emotional and behavioral skills, as necessary. Attend IEPs as a member of the IEP Team. Attend special education in-service training, as required, and participate in providing in-service education for general school staff. Organize and maintain special education records in accordance with state and federal special education and privacy laws.
Requirements / Qualifications
A valid California Education Specialist Instruction credential with a Mild/Moderate authorization is required. Autism Authorization required.
