SUMMARY: Market staff members will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently using modern point of sale equipment, and safeguarding store assets. Additionally, associates are also responsible for preparing sandwiches, pizza, and other food items as requested by customers while delivering excellent customer service and a friendly attitude. Market employees will prepare and package food products and process customer orders to their specifications, as well as prepare items from the Deli menu. Staff must support all sanitation, product quality and presentation standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to safely operate all equipment necessary to perform assigned duties
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management
• Ability to perform math skills necessary for accurate daily reporting and inventory control
• Ability to communicate with Vendors and accurately receive and process orders as necessary
• Ability to learn POS systems and all required computer applications
• Ability to maintain a friendly demeanor during busy periods of the shift

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Considered applicants will have a friendly, upbeat personality
• Work well under pressure

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods
• Move and handle inventory and equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
• Available to work flexible weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
