Role Description
Wintergreen Hospitality is seeking a full-time Welcome Host Front Desk team member to join their on-site team in Smithfield, NC. The Welcome Host will handle front desk operations, warmly welcoming guests, assisting with check-ins and check-outs, and responding to guest inquiries. Additional responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, addressing concerns promptly, and promoting services and amenities to enhance guest experiences. This role requires collaboration with colleagues to maintain a smooth and welcoming environment for all guests.

The Responsibility:
Collaborate with ALL hotel teams to deliver kick-ass guest experiences by giving people exactly what they want even before they ask for it. Contribute to maintaining a friendly and warm atmosphere for all people coming through our doors.
A few examples of what the ideal person for this role will do on a daily basis:
- Serve as hotel ambassador by working overnight shifts at the welcome area
- Offer a lending hand to carry guest luggage, and deliver service items like towels and TV remotes to guest rooms
- Strike up memorable conversations with people in the lobby
- Create a cozy haven for guests by noticing and picking up stray trash and debris
- Show kindness by assisting the Breakfast Host with preparing breakfast service in the mornings
- Anything else that you can imagine or that someone else might imagine!
You’ll also manage technical operations such as: Maximizing room revenue by using effective face to face and telephone selling skills to convince people to stay at our hotel and pay our rates. Performing error free work on a consistent basis; taking reservations, checking guests in/out, and handling cash and credit card transactions, etc.
The measure of success: How well you can “WOW” our guests by coming up with everyday solutions that go beyond the expectations of what they need – to “WOW” our guests, you must knock their socks off by being the friendliest, most helpful, and most hospitable human being they have ever encountered in a hotel.
