Produce Stocker Job Description
Purpose: To keep displays, coolers, and shelves in the Produce Department fully stocked and to provide prompt, friendly, courteous Guest service.
Status: Reports to Produce Manager.
Date Approved: 4.2026
Responsibilities:
1. Guest Service
a. Interact with guests, vendors, and co-workers in a friendly and courteous manner
b. Maintain a positive, cooperative attitude
c. Perform job professionally and strives to achieve the highest Guest service standard
d. Greet Guests in a timely, warm, and gracious manner
e. Find out what the Guest wants and delivers it quickly and accurately
f. Go the extra mile
g. Answers Guest and staff questions effectively; seeks out answers when answer is unknown
h. Take and process special orders.
i. Maintain a daily sampling program
2. STORE MAINTENANCE
a. Keep shelves, coolers, counters, bins and floors in clean, orderly condition.
b. Clean up spills and remove trash promptly.
c. Use equipment and tools safely. Advise Produce Manager or appropriate department manager of equipment problems.
d. Maintain high standard of safety and cleanliness in work and display area. Keep all work areas clean and organized
3. PREP WORK AND STOCKING
a. See that product is properly prepped and stored.
b. Keep shelves abundantly stocked.
c. Ensure all products on display shelf are of the highest quality and are properly culled.
d. Be available to answer customer’s questions and show them to products throughout store.
e. Rotate older stock to front, making space for new stock.
f. Pull out of date or low quality items.
g. Assist customers with product questions, in prompt, friendly, courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary. Offer suggestions for purchases and ways to prepare products.
h. Bag and price bulk lettuce mixes.
4. RECEIVING, STOCKING, MERCHANDIZING
a. Ensure all items are checked in, handled and processed in accordance with standard receiving procedures.
b. Process invoices as per Produce Manager’s instructions. Make sure to follow up on credits, quality concerns and pricing discrepancies
5. Perform other tasks assigned by Store Manager or Department Manager.
Requirements:
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
