Project Engineer – Central Florida Multifamily General Contractor
Corporate Office & Project Sites | Greater Central Florida (Travel Required)
A well-established Central Florida multifamily general contractor is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to join our growing team.
This position provides technical and administrative support to Project Managers and Superintendents on ground-up and renovation projects. Responsibilities include assisting with submittals, RFIs, procurement tracking, material verification, and project coordination. You’ll help ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met while gaining hands-on experience in project management and field operations.
Our ground-up projects are located within 100 miles north and south of I-4, and our renovation projects can take place anywhere in the U.S. — so flexibility and a willingness to travel are key.

Key Responsibilities
- Support project management and field supervision with documentation, tracking, and coordination
- Review and distribute submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
- Verify materials and installations meet project specifications
- Assist in schedule updates, procurement logs, and change order documentation
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure information accuracy
- Track inspections, testing, and field reports to maintain quality standards

Qualifications
- 2 year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience with a general contractor preferred
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore and MS Project or Outbuild a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to travel to project sites outside Central Florida as required
