Estimator (Commercial Interiors & Special Projects)

About the Role

Winter Construction is seeking an Estimator to join our SPACES Division, a team focused on delivering high-quality, fast-paced commercial interiors and specialty renovation projects throughout the Atlanta area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys the balance of technical precision and creative problem-solving that comes with estimating.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and detailed estimates for commercial interior and specialty projects.
• Review design documents and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids; manage bid coverage and scope reviews.
• Utilize BuildingConnected or similar takeoff/estimating software for bid management and quantity analysis.
• Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and the Preconstruction Director to develop accurate budgets and project strategies.
• Conduct value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with trade partners, architects, and clients to support collaboration and repeat business.
• Assist in turnover meetings and ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior field or preconstruction experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, or other takeoff software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Local to the Atlanta area (no travel required)
