Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks and
drivers to deliver products to various locations following designated routes. - Load and unload shipments using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Manage inventory by organizing stock within the warehouse, performing routine stock checks, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and ensure timely arrivals.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by communicating clearly and professionally with clients.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Support warehouse activities including moving inventory, loading trucks, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a courier role, with familiarity in route driving and load & unload procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods safely and efficiently.
- Warehouse experience including use of forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to driving, lifting, and warehouse operations.
