Our branch teams play a critical role in keeping jobs moving, and the front counter is where strong customer relationships are built every day. We are growing our team and looking for a dependable, customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to support daily branch operations and serve our contractor customer base.
ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a hands-on position that blends customer service, counter sales, and warehouse coordination within a fast-paced plumbing supply environment. You’ll work directly with contractors and customers, helping them get the materials they need while keeping daily branch operations running smoothly.
Some experience in plumbing supply, counter sales, inside sales, or a related industry is preferred, as this role requires comfort working in a product-driven, contractor-focused environment. Product familiarity with plumbing, heating, or industrial materials is a strong plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage daily sales and customer service activities at the counter
Assist walk-in customers and contractors with orders and product needs
Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently into the system
Use electronic and published catalogs to provide product, pricing, and availability information
Monitor and manage open orders to support timely fulfillment
Follow company pricing and credit guidelines
Handle customer complaints and returns professionally while maintaining a positive attitude
Solve customer issues quickly or escalate to the appropriate team member when needed
Retrieve customer orders from the warehouse accurately and efficiently
Keep merchandising, counter, and work areas clean, organized, and professional
Maintain stocked counter inventory and support impulse sales opportunities
Assist with warehouse duties including stocking, receiving, and organizing product
Accurately use order entry systems, computerized systems, and other required technologies
Follow established company procedures and processes carefully and consistently
Work closely with warehouse and sales teams to support daily operations
Relevant Experience: Some experience in plumbing supply, counter sales, inside sales, or a related industry is preferred
Product Familiarity: Working knowledge of plumbing, heating, or industrial materials is a strong plus
Customer Focus: Strong customer focus with the ability to work directly with contractors and trade professionals
Ability to build relationships and respond to customer needs in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
Comfortable working in both counter and warehouse settings
Basic computer skills (Epicor Eclipse experience is a plus)
