Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician | Edmonds, WA | 6-Month Assignment
Winston Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Edmonds, Washington, just north of Seattle.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, well-established cancer program that has made significant recent investments in oncology care, including expanded infusion capacity, additional clinical space and continued growth in its clinical research program.
Assignment Highlights
- ASAP start
- Commitment through March 2027
- Minimum 6-month commitment
- Full-time coverage, approximately 4 weeks per month
- Monday–Friday
- 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Patient care Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
- Thursday designated as an administrative day
- Weeknight and rotating 24-hour weekend beeper call
- 8 guaranteed hours per day
- Temporary privileges available
Practice Environment
This is a primarily outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice with some inpatient responsibilities.
- Approximately 20 patients per day
- 100% adult population
- Approximately 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology
- Primarily outpatient practice with limited inpatient coverage
- Established physician and APP team
- Extensive oncology nursing and medical assistant support
- Social work, pharmacy and additional clinical support resources
- No resident or fellow teaching responsibilities
The cancer program recently completed a major expansion of its infusion center, doubling capacity from 19 to 38 infusion chairs, while also adding exam space and expanding pharmacy resources. The organization has also significantly expanded its oncology research presence. Clinical-trial enrollment at the Edmonds program grew from just 5 patients in 2022 to 95 patients in 2025, giving physicians the opportunity to practice in an environment with meaningful exposure to advanced cancer treatment and clinical research.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Hematology, Oncology or Hematology/Oncology
- Washington license or IMLC pathway
- Hospital privileges required
- Credentialing approximately 30–90 days
