Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Position SummaryThe Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care to adults with a wide range of medical conditions and post‐surgical needs. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, time management, and the ability to care for multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients.• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patient conditions.• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.• Manage wound care, drains, catheters, respiratory equipment, and mobility needs.• Prepare patients for procedures and assist physicians as needed.• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care.• Document all assessments, interventions, and responses in the EMR.• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards.Qualifications• Active RN license in the state of practice.• BLS certification (required).• ACLS certification (preferred).• 2 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred.Skills & Competencies• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients effectively.• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.• Proficiency with EMR systems and electronic charting.• Compassionate, patient‐centered care approach.
