What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Assistant position at Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School District?
FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to assist in providing a safe learning environment for the students, teachers, and other school staff by patrolling the grounds, helping maintain order and report or remove students whose behavior is unsafe or disruptive. This position is temporary full-time for the remainder of the 21-22 school year.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervises students assigned to study hall by monitoring their activities and ensuring their physical welfare.
• Monitors halls, lunchroom, and entire building for rules compliance.
• Monitors noon and after-school attendance detentions.
• Checks for students smoking on or around campus.
• Provides assistance to students requiring additional guidance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum: Must be 18 years of age with ability to effectively read and write.
Pay Grade 54 Minimum Monthly Salary $2,479
