Job Overview
Working closely with the ELC Administrative Director, the ELC Program Assistant supports all aspects of operations in the ELC, including administration, inventory, classrooms, and spaces. This position helps cover classrooms as needed.
General Responsibilities
- File and organize documentation for any programmatic functions including but not limited to enrollment, child, and staff files, accident and incident reports, medication administration, and attendance (including for financial assistance and Public PreK).
- Support student enrollment processes by maintaining and organizing documentation.
- Support Administrative Director with scheduling and classroom needs. Monitor staff communications to cover in the short-term (e.g., for a bathroom break or a call with a family).
- Monitor the program spaces, both indoor and outdoor, on a regular basis and flag items to be repaired or replaced.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in ELC storage areas.
Requirements
- Successfully pass required background checks.
- Experience in an early childhood setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, competent interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and track data using technology.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
