Overview for Clinical PharmacistsWinston Staffing has needs for Clinical Pharmacists for a facility in Manhattan. Evening and overnight shifts available. Must have hospital experience with chemo prep and knowledge of Epic and Pyxis systems.Duties for Clinical PharmacistsProvide comprehensive medication therapy management for diverse patient populations, including those in ICU, Peds, Oncology, Transplant and Cardiac centers.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapies as necessary based on physiology knowledge and clinical assessment.Oversee medication preparation and administration, ensuring aseptic techniques and proper IV infusion practices.Manage acute pain and pain management protocols in various settings, including emergency rooms and critical care units.Conduct patient assessments focusing on medication appropriateness, potential drug interactions, and contraindications.Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, side effects, and safety procedures.Ensure compliance with hospital policies regarding medication administration, medical terminology standards, and pharmacy regulations.Maintain accurate documentation of medication therapy interventions and participate in quality improvement initiatives.Qualifications for Clinical PharmacistsNY State Pharmacist licensure.JD in Pharmacy from an accredited institutionDemonstrated expertise in critical care settings such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), and emergency departments.Proven experience in managing complex medication regimens including IV infusions and acute pain protocols.Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology principles, and medical terminology.Experience working within managed care frameworks; familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations is advantageous.
