Winstead PC is seeking an experienced Word Processor to join our Charlotte office. This role provides high-level document production support with a strong emphasis on document automation for complex transactional matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, and format a variety of legal transactional documents (loan agreements, closing binders, financing documents, etc.)
- Design, update, and maintain automated document templates using Microsoft Word and other platforms as needed
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to implement document automation solutions to streamline workflow
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold data security standards
- Proofread documents for grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors
- Troubleshoot document issues and provide technical support
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a legal environment, preferably in real estate finance or transactional law
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, including track changes, advanced formatting, and template creation
- Experience with Contract Express, HotDocs, or similar document automation tools
- Familiarity with document management systems (NetDocuments preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively with attorneys and staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new software and adapt to evolving workflows
