What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal - Business Litigation - Houston position at Winstead PC?
The Business Litigation Practice Group in the Houston office is seeking an experienced paralegal. Successful candidates will have experience preparing and filing pleadings, drafting client correspondence, performing document review, assisting with discovery, maintaining a calendar of docket events and deadlines, assisting in hearings and at trial and utilizing presentation technology. Candidates will be expected to manage a diverse caseload, including eminent domain and commercial litigation, and have flexibility to work overtime when necessary. Superior oral and written communication skills are essential.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and at least one of the following criteria: (1) 4 years of paralegal experience in a law firm; (2) Paralegal Certificate; (3) Certified Legal Assistant/Paralegal.
