Under the supervision of a RN and the Administrator, caregiver will provide direct care to clients. Assists in meeting the clients’ individual needs while treating the client with respect and dignity wherever they call home.

Job Duties:
- Assists clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and getting to and from activities and meals according to the client care plan.
- Allows and encourage clients to do as much of their own care as possible.
- Documents the delivery of quality care in the client's clinical record.
- Follows infection control and safety standards.
- Implements client care that is accurately, timely and appropriately documented; maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the clients.
- Performs general housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Responds promptly and positively to client requests for assistance.
- Maintains consistent and concise lines of authority and responsibility with effective communication that. Promotes a positive working relationship with clients, families, and co-workers.
- Identifies changes in client status or needs and communicates to the nurse in a timely manner.
- Participates in required educational programs.
- Participates in Performance Improvement program.
- Maintains home health aide license.
- Travel to clients home and other cases in community

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and minimum of one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred
- Certifications, Licenses, and other requirements

2 hour Alzheimer's certification
1 hour AIDS and HIV certification
2 hour Self Administration of Medication

Please keep in mind that schedules are based on clients and their needs, shifts include anything from 2 hours to 24 hour care.
