Winpak Films Inc. is seeking a BSB Bag Lead Operator to join their BSB Bag Room Department based out of Senoia, GA. In this role, you will lead the safe and efficient operation of BSB bag equipment, train and guide operators, and ensure the production of high-quality shrink bags. Your contributions will help maintain Winpak’s commitment to operational excellence, safety, and delivering value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate BSB bag equipment to produce high-quality shrink bags that meet customer specifications
- Provide training, guidance, and support to BSB Bag Operators
- Ensure accuracy in all system entries and transactions using SFDC and MOVEX
- Conduct and document quality checks in line with established sampling plans
- Promote and uphold a safe working environment by identifying and reporting hazards
- Communicate production issues to supervisors and assist in resolving equipment concerns
- Maintain accurate production paperwork and labeling
- Perform machine adjustments and changeovers as needed
- Support housekeeping efforts and ensure a clean, organized work area
- Prepare materials for the next shift to ensure continued productivity
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in a converting or manufacturing environment
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn production systems (e.g., SFDC, MOVEX)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (bending, standing, stair climbing)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a technical or manufacturing-related field
- Experience operating extrusion or converting equipment
- Working knowledge of manufacturing software and quality systems
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a production environment
Additional Details:
This position is for a full-time, 5-day workweek on an 8-hour day shift. Candidates must be comfortable with lifting and manual labor and be available for occasional overtime or shift coverage. This role is 100% onsite in Senoia, GA.
Compensation:
Compensation range: $21.50 – $23.50/hour
The compensation range provided is a general guideline only. Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise and is subject to vary.
