Winpak Heat Seal is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Pekin, Illinois.
This is a high-impact HR leadership opportunity for a consultative, business-minded HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, strengthening employee engagement, and helping shape the employee experience in a manufacturing environment. This role presents an opportunity to shape and guide the human resources function and participate in Winpak wide talent initiatives
In this newly created role, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HRBP will collaborate closely with Centers of Expertise (CoE) while supporting key HR initiatives across employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, engagement, safety, talent acquisition, and HR operations. This role will help deliver “An Exceptional OneWinpak experience — Helping our people succeed professionally and personally” by aligning people strategies with business priorities and supporting a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
Key Competencies: (Ideal Candidate Specification)
- Partner with managers and supervisors as a trusted HR advisor on employee relations, performance, workforce planning, talent needs, and HR policies.
- Support the execution of OneWinpak HR strategies, programs, and best practices in partnership with HR leadership and Centers of Expertise.
- Guide leaders through performance management, goal setting, talent reviews, development planning, and succession planning.
- Address employee concerns, workplace issues, and investigations with professionalism, urgency, confidentiality, and sound documentation.
- Support onboarding, engagement, retention, and employee experience initiatives that help employees succeed in their roles.
- Partner with Health & Safety teams and site leaders to support a physically and psychologically safe work environment.
- Assist with compensation review processes while supporting internal equity, market competitiveness, and clear communication.
- Champion inclusion, employee well-being, and participation in benefits and wellness programs.
- Support HR operations by guiding HR team members and assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Use HR data, reporting, and metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend solutions that support engagement and retention.
- Support HR operations, policy implementation, special projects, and OneWinpak initiatives as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, operations, or a unionized environment.
- Strong employee relations, leadership coaching, investigation, and conflict-resolution experience.
- Proven ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- HRIS/HCM and Microsoft Office experience required; UKG experience a plus.
Compensation Range: $90,000-$105,000. The compensation range provided is a general guideline only. Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise and is subject to vary.
