Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Winona, MN, for a Pharmacist at Winona Health. The Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and verifying medications while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Daily responsibilities include patient consultation, providing guidance on medication use, collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes, and overseeing pharmacy operations and inventory management. Ensuring safe and effective medication therapy while promoting patient health and wellness will be key responsibilities in this role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Pharmacology, Pharmacy laws and regulations, and drug therapy management.
- Proficiency in reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, and identifying potential interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively educating patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
- Experience with inventory management, quality assurance processes, and maintaining precise medical records.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of Minnesota or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
