Position Summary
Winnsboro Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary care services in collaboration with the clinic's two physicians, two nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social worker, and care team.
Responsibilities
- Provide acute, chronic, and preventive primary care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients; order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications within scope of practice and Louisiana regulations
- Coordinate care with the clinic's care management and behavioral health staff
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Participate in the clinic's quality and compliance activities
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active Louisiana APRN or PA license, or eligibility to obtain one before start date
- National board certification (FNP-C, FNP-BC, or PA-C)
- DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one
- For NP candidates: an approved collaborative practice agreement with prescriptive authority, as required by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
- Current BLS certification
Preferred
- Primary care or family practice experience
- Rural Health Clinic experience
- Experience with Elation Health
Schedule and Compensation
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Salary: $120,000 per year
- Optional sign-on bonus: up to $75,000, paid over the first three years, through the Louisiana Rural Clinician Credit Bank for candidates who agree to a five-year service commitment. The commitment is not a condition of employment.
