WinnMed is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative to join our Business Office team. In this role, you will:
- Prepare and submit accurate patient bills to insurance companies
- Review and audit claims for accuracy in our electronic medical record system
- Audit insurance payments and ensure proper reimbursement
- Respond to patient and insurance inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00am–5:00pm
- No weekends or holidays
- Remote work optional (in-person training required)
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of two years experience in Medical Billing or courses in Medical Office, HIM, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Basic math skills
- Customer service skills for interacting with patient s
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is beneficial
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines including Medicare and Medicaid is beneficial
