WinnMed is seeking to hire a Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department !
By leading information technology (IT) teams, this position ensures efficient and secure operations of technical infrastructures and multi-faceted information systems, providing digital services for the organization. It develops IT strategies aligned with organizational goals to provide quality support and management in analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying technologies in a healthcare environment, ensuring HIPAA compliance to protect confidential information while enhancing efficiency and support for exceptional patient care.
The Director will:
- maintains working knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule and other government technology laws within the healthcare sector.
- work collaboratively with the Director of Cybersecurity to support development and monitoring of strategic goals relating to organizational information security and assess business risks and enforcement of appropriate information security measures.
- implements and maintains security measures
- analyzes the needs of departments and aligns ways to meet business objectives guided by the organizational strategic plan by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems.
- Ensures the smooth and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, electronic health record, and other IT components
- Proves guidance, support, and development opportunities for staff
- Manages IT budgets and resources
- Stays up to date with industry trends
Work Location: This position will be located on the WinnMed Campus
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required. Master's degree preferred
- Requires minimum of 5 years of previous experience in the information technology industry
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Previous experience with information security practices within a federally regulated industry is preferred.
- Previous experience managing complex projects required; knowledge of formal project management methodology preferred.
- Previous health care experience beneficial
- Must be able to read, speak, write English fluently
