Carleton Washburne School has an opening for a part-time (2 hrs/day) 7th/8th Grade Middle School Lunch/Recess Monitor.
JOB OVERVIEW:
Supervise students during lunch and recess periods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains a safe and orderly atmosphere in the lunchroom as directed by the principal
2. Assist with clean up between lunch periods as needed
3. Supervise students while outside during all seasons (or inside during inclement weather) ensuring that students are safe and following established recess procedures and rules at all times
4. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions regarding the safety and welfare of students
5. Experience/wilingness to work with children
6. Ability to work cooperatively with other building staff
6. Clearance of FBI Background check required
7. Physical Exam within last year of hire date
8. Valid First Aid/CPR Cards preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to move freely to various locations within the lunchroom, playground other school settings. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and bending. Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
SALARY:
$17.00/hour
