What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance Instructor position at WINNETKA COMMUNITY HOUSE?
The Community House is seeking contract instructors for youth tap, hip hop, and jazz dance classes, as well as ballroom dancing instructors for adults. Youth classes are held in the after school / evening hours; adult classes are in the evening. Weekend times are also a possibility if the instructor prefers that. The Community House School of Dance includes ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre dance, Irish dance, and more! Classes are held throughout the year and an annual recital is held in the spring.
Instructors are responsible for delivering high quality dance instruction to students of different ages and skill levels, creating lessons plans, and choreographing a routine for the dance recital. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills along with a deep passion for dance and the ability to teach, motivate, and inspire students to achieve their full potential.

The Community House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves as a gathering place for a wide variety of activities including youth programs, adult fitness activities, weddings and other celebrations, fundraising events, performances in our theater, and much more.
Our facilities include a theater, fitness center, gymnasium, and several multipurpose spaces in an historic and well-maintained building in the heart of Winnetka, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and surrounded by beautiful gardens and grounds.
