Qualifications:Who You Are
You're systematic and self-directed — someone who reads a work order like a roadmap and executes without being micromanaged. You communicate proactively, collaborate easily, and never let a busy day become an excuse for cutting corners. You came up through a tech program, a co-op, or the shop floor — and you've been sharpening your skills ever since. You hold yourself to a higher standard because you know the difference it makes.
What You'll Do
Diagnose vehicle issues accurately — going beyond the work order to catch what others miss
Execute routine maintenance and complex repairs to manufacturer-approved standards
Manage your own workflow — clock on, stay on schedule, adapt when the day shifts
Coordinate in real time with Service and the Parts Department to keep jobs moving
Flag parts needs immediately and escalate unclear work orders before they become problems
Document every repair with precision — parts used, labor charged, additional findings noted
Apply quality control and inspection procedures on every vehicle, every time
Use shop management systems to estimate repair time and support efficient scheduling
What You Bring
Deep, hands-on knowledge of automotive systems — and the drive to keep learning
Relevant technical certifications (required; ongoing training expected)
Proven ability to diagnose problems from both work orders and your own inspection
Sharp communication skills — with service advisors, parts staff, and occasionally customers
Fluency in reading and executing repair orders with speed and accuracy
Comfort estimating job timelines and managing your personal productivity
Familiarity with special tools, shop equipment, and approved repair procedures
A track record of working independently — no hand-holding required
Salary : $17 - $40
