What You’ll Do
As a Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and modeling boat systems and components using 2D and 3D CAD tools (Rhino)
- Collaborating with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and performance standards
- Supporting manufacturing integration and continuous improvement initiatives
- Creating engineering drawings, documentation, and change notices (ECNs)
- Validating designs through hands-on fabrication and testing
- Ensuring compliance with NMMA, ABYC, and other regulatory standards
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or related field preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience in marine or mechanical design
- Proficiency in Rhino for 2D/3D modeling and documentation or similar software
- Hands-on fabrication skills and a problem-solving mindset
- NMMA Compliance Specialist and ABYC Standards Certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with Epicor, Microsoft Office Suite, and CNC file development (Sigmanest)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel (minimum 10%)
