Key Responsibilities
- Deliver live, engaging traffic updates on road conditions, accidents, and commuter impacts
- Provide real-time updates across broadcast, digital, and social platforms
- Report on breaking news and enterprise stories as an MMJ
- Shoot, write, edit, and present news stories
- Perform live shots and develop story ideas relevant to the community
- Collaborate with newsroom staff and contribute to daily editorial coverage
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2–3 years of on-air reporting/anchoring experience
- Strong storytelling, writing, and ad-lib skills
- Ability to work independently as an MMJ
- Proficiency with newsroom and traffic systems
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in outdoor conditions
- Ability to travel to various locations for story coverage
