Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to lead our Wingstop stores. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager in driving business growth, managing budgets, and fostering a positive team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and excellence in service
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, POS systems , cash handling, and customer service protocols
- Oversee inventory control, food safety compliance, and sanitation standards
- Manage shift schedules, coordinate staffing needs, and ensure proper coverage during all operating hours
- Monitor food production processes including cooking, food handling, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Lead staff training & development initiatives to enhance team performance and hospitality standards
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management to optimize profitability
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety procedures across all restaurant operations
- Support marketing efforts and community engagement to increase brand visibility
Key Competencies:
- Proven management experience within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments
- Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety practices
- Experience with POS systems; cash handling expertise required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising teams and conducting staff training & development
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and operational procedures effectively
- Previous assistant manager or restaurant management experience preferred; hospitality management background is a plus
- Knowledge of food industry standards including culinary experience, food handling, and catering is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
Qualifications for the job:
· 3 years of progressive restaurant management experience, including at least 1 year as an Assistant General Manager or Restaurant Manager in a high-volume QSR or fast-casual environment
· Experience with labor management, food cost, inventory, scheduling, and team development
· Proven ability to lead shifts, coach team members, and support General Manager-level operations
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
· ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Must have reliable transportation
· High school diploma or equivalent required
