Position Description:
The Environmental Services (EVS) Floor Care Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Agency facility and its outlying buildings in order to provide a clean, sanitary and attractive environment for clients, visitors and employees.

- Minimum High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of cleaning experience required.
- 1 year working in a residential, hospital, or school setting preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the Agency’s insurance company.

Position Description:
The Environmental Services (EVS) Floor Care Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Agency facility and its outlying buildings in order to provide a clean, sanitary and attractive environment for clients, visitors and employees.
Responsibilities Include:
- Determine accurate equipment and supplies needed to clean and maintain floors.
- Strip, wax, scrub and recoat floors.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets.
- Buff and maintain hard floors.
- Keep equipment clean and in sound working condition.
- Dust mop the floor for any loose debris and remove any gum residue.
- Use specific chemical solutions crafted for flooring equipment.
- Use accurate chemical dilution ratios according to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure no residue is left on the baseboard and kick plates or stainless-steel surfaces.
- Use caution signs or caution tape appropriately when performing any project work that can result in a personal injury.
- Remove trash and mop floors as advised.
- Report the need for maintenance repairs to the Director of Environmental Services.
- Communicate with clients and employees in a positive and professional manner.
- Work closely with and maintain routine contact with Supervisor to improve customer service.
- Ensure adherence to standard precaution practices and accurate infection control procedures.
- Store and secure all equipment, tools, cleaning supplies and chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Work with fellow employees as a team participant.
- Ensure storage room doors are closed and always locked.
- Remain in their assigned work area for the duration of their shift.
- Close and lock all doors and windows and turn off lights before exiting a building.
